Starting January 1, 2025, the WWE Network is expected to cease operations in Europe, making way for Netflix to stream WWE content internationally. This major shift is part of WWE’s new streaming deal with Netflix, which will bring WWE programming to a broader audience through the popular platform.
WWE Network’s Future in Other Regions
While the WWE Network will shut down in Europe, it won’t disappear entirely. According to PWInsider, the Network will remain active in regions where Netflix does not yet hold the rights to stream WWE content. These exceptions are due to preexisting agreements that predate the Netflix deal.
In a notable development, WWE has started reintroducing the Network in select regions. For example, former subscribers in the Philippines recently received emails announcing the Network’s return after nearly two years. WWE previously streamed its content via Disney+ in the Philippines during that time.
As other regional deals expire, WWE’s programming on Netflix will gradually replace the Network, making Netflix the central hub for WWE content worldwide.
WWE RAW to Debut on Netflix
One of the most anticipated milestones of this new partnership is the Netflix debut of WWE RAW on Monday, January 6, 2025. The debut episode will be broadcast live from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. This marks the first time WWE’s flagship show will be available on Netflix, signaling a new era for WWE programming.
What Fans Can Expect
Netflix will provide fans with access to an extensive library of WWE content, including classic matches, premium live events, and original programming. For European fans, this transition means a shift to Netflix for all their WWE streaming needs, while other regions may continue to use the Network until existing deals expire.
WWE’s Global Streaming Evolution
This partnership underscores WWE’s ongoing efforts to expand its reach and provide fans with easier access to content through one of the world’s leading streaming platforms. By teaming up with Netflix, WWE aims to grow its global audience while consolidating its digital footprint.
